Tokyo DisneySea Bucket List

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m heading to Japan next month and I’ll be spending two days at the Tokyo Disney Resort; one day in Disneyland and one day in DisneySea.

DisneySea is an incredibly unique Disney park and it looks stunning! And while I am of course excited to be visiting the more classic Disneyland Park next door, my excitement levels are through the roof for DisneySea.

There’s so much I want to see and do in this park and I’m not sure it’s going to be possible to tick everything off my bucket list in just one day but I’m going to give it my best shot (and spend a lot of money on Premier Access).

So, let’s get to it. Here’s a list of everything I would like to experience at Tokyo DisneySea.

Rides

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

As someone who is OBBSESSED with the Jules Verne inspired Discoveryland in Disneyland Paris (god bless you, Tim Delaney) I am beyond excited to see the Mysterious Island area of DisneySea and ride the two rides that are located in the area.

I’ve got a rough idea of what this ride is however I haven’t watched any POVs so I’m not 100% sure what to expect, but I know it’s a very unique ride and I cannot wait to experience it.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

As with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, I haven’t watched any POVs from this ride so I have no idea what to expect. But it’s Jules Verne inspired so I’m probably going to love it!

Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster

As with the Gadget’s Go Coaster in Tokyo Disneyland, this ride doesn’t look anything special but I want the coaster credit for riding it.

It does look cute though!

Raging Spirits

This ride looks very similar to the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril ride in Disneyland Paris which I’ve never actually rode despite visiting the park three times (first time I was too short, second time I was too scared, and third time it was closed).

The mine cars are giving me flashbacks to Klondike Gold Mine at Drayton Manor Park which is one of my least favourite rides ever, and the ride that nearly put me off coasters for life, so hopefully I won’t find it too traumatic.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull

Speaking of Indy, there is actually an Indiana Jones ride in Tokyo DisneySea. I’s very similar to the one in Disneyland, which I am yet to visit, so while I have a rough idea of what this ride entails I’m excited to experience something new.

Aquatopia

Autopia but on water; what’s not to love?!

My partner isn’t a big fan of water rides so I’m really hoping you don’t get too wet on this ride or else it might take some convincing to get him to ride it with me.

Tower of Terror

I hate Tower of Terror! Drop tower rides on not my favourite rides at all.

And yet I still want to ride it! This particular version of Tower of Terror looks so unique I don’t want to miss out on riding it.

Soaring: Fantastic Flight

As I’ve not been to the US Disney Parks (yet!) I’ve never experienced a Soaring (or Soarin’) attraction before. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been on a flying theatre ride before!

It looks like it’s a super popular ride at the park so I would like to experience it, but I may or may not be going to Disney World next year so if I don’t get to ride it in Tokyo I’ll probably ride the similar version in Epcot.

Food & Drink

Sea Salt Monaka

This beautiful snack comprises of two crispy wafers shaped like a seashells with a raspberry filling and sea salt ice cream in the middle. It looks like it’s going to be a hot day in DisneySea so this snack will be the perfect way to cool down.

Mickey pizza (beef & mayonnaise)

Yes, this sounds like a strange combination but apparently it’s very good. And I’m a sucker for Mickey shaped food!

Roasted Falafel and Soy Nuggets

The Food & Wine Festival will be on during our visit to Tokyo DisneySea and I’d like to try some of the food exclusive to this event.

My partner is a vegetarian and neither of the the Disney parks in Tokyo have much choice for vegetarians or vegans, but during this festival they will be selling a veggie option that comprises of roasted falafel and soy nuggets, so we have to try it!

Shows & Parades

As I mentioned in my last post, I’m not that into the shows and parades at the Disney parks (I know, I’m sorry!) but I would really like to see the Believe! Sea of Dreams that takes place in the harbour.

Have you been to Tokyo DisneySea? Do you think I’ll tick off everything on my Tokyo DisneySea bucket list in just one day?!
