Epcot Bucket List

It’s time for the last of my four Walt Disney World bucket lists posts, and this one is all about Epcot!

It’s just over 3 weeks until I head out to Florida for the first time ever and I’m excited to experience all four of the Disney parks in Orlando. As someone who has always had an interested in World’s Fairs and Expos (despite never having been to one!) I know Epcot is going to be right up my street and I’m looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.

As we’re staying at a Skyliner resort, I’m sure we’ll be spending a lot of time in Epcot! So here are just a few of things I would like to experience during my visits to Epcot:

Rides

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

As I’ve said before, I am a big fan of rollercoasters, so the ride I am most looking forward to getting on in Epcot is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Unlike most of the rides at Disney World, I haven’t actually watched a POV of this ride, so I am truly going in blind. All I know is that is some kind of spinning coaster and that the song that plays while you are riding is selected at random. Oh, and that it’s Guardians of the Galaxy themed!

Spaceship Earth

I remember when I first realised there was a ride inside the golf ball, AKA Spaceship Earth! And to be honest, my mind still can’t wrap my head around how the ride system works.

So even though this doesn’t look like the most exciting ride in the world, I am super excited to ride it just because of the crazy ride system!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

I love the version of the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in Disneyland Paris but my partner has never been on it as it was closed for maintenance when we visited back in 2023. So I’m going to make it a priority to get on this ride while we are exploring World Showcase.

Mission: SPACE

While I’ve added Mission: SPACE to my bucket list I’m not 100% sure if I will actually go on this ride!

I’ve heard it’s not great for people who get motion sickness (even the less intense version) and despite being a fan of rides, I do suffer quite badly from motion sickness. So I am somewhat concerned I will throw up on this ride!

I guess we’ll just wait and see how I feel. I certainly won’t be riding it with a stomach full of food and drink!

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Ok, I’ll be honest; this ride looks terrible! However, I can appreciate Journey Into Imagination with Figment is a Disney classic and therefore I will be riding it! Even if it’s just because it has a short queue and good air conditioning!

Test Track

While I’m adding Test Track to my bucket list, I know the chances of me riding it on this trip are close to zero. It’s currently closed for refurbishments, and although I was hoping it would be open in time for my trip, I don’t think it will be reopening until summer 2025.

I’m kind of disappointed because I know I’d love this attraction, but at the same time, it gives us an excuse to go back, right?!

Food & Drink

As I’ve mentioned before, we’re going to be on quick service dinning plan that includes two quick service meals per day and one snack per day. And I feel like Epcot is going to be the place I end up using most of my credits!

Here are some of the food and drinks I’m looking forward to trying in Epcot (if they’re available when we visit!):

  • Caramel pretzel bread pudding in Germany.
  • School bread in Norway.
  • Chocolate pudding from the Ireland booth.
  • Poutine in Canada.
  • Sushi from Japan.

Other

Other than riding rides, eating, and drinking, here are some of the other things I’m hoping to do while visiting the park:

  • Get a photo with Spaceship Earth.
  • Visit all 11 pavilions in World Showcase (and possibly have a drink in every one!).
  • Spend a fortune in the shop in the Japan pavilion (seriously, I miss Japan so much!).
  • Do Turtle Talk with Crush (they have this in Tokyo DisneySea but for obvious reasons we didn’t do it!).
  • Enjoy the Flower and Garden festival.
  • Try the free drink samples at Club Cool (yes, even Beverly!).

Have you visited Epcot before? Do you have any recommendations for me?
